| Their seasonal line up is almost as varied as the instruments from classical favorites, pops, theme nights such as Last Night of the Proms and jazz. The orchestra's home venue is the most beautiful baroque-styled Orpheum Theatre which itself is worth the price of admission. Built in 1927, and completely restored and acoustically upgraded, this magnificent building was the last of the great, old-time vaudeville venues that opened just as talking movies arrived. It remains the only theatre in Canada with its original "Wurlitzer" pipe organ. |
