The BMA is Maryland's largest museum with over 100,000 works of art including pieces from Picasso, Van Gogh, Matisse, Cezanne, Gauguin, and Monet. The Museum houses a permanent collection ranging from modern pieces to ancient works. Some of the most popular exhibits include 'native art' from Africa, the Americas and Oceania. This exhibit has amazing bead-works, clothing, wood-works, weaponry and religious and ornamentation pieces, to name a few.Along with a generous collection of famous 18th and 19th century American paintings and artistry, visitors can find eight galleries of artwork dedicated to the European Old Masters.
