| All taxis are government controlled and many are metered. The first quarter mile with one or two passengers is $2.20 and 30 cents for each additional quarter mile; additional passengers cost $3 per person. You can also hire cabs by the hour and settle on a fee with the driver in advance. Most of the taxis based out of the major resorts offer Taxi tours of the islands; inquire with the concierge or individual drivers for details.
