| Confederate and Union soldiers, Georgia governors, Atlanta mayors, author Margaret Mitchell and golfer Bobby Jones are among the 40,000 people buried in Oakland Cemetery. The 88-acre Victorian cemetery was founded in 1850 and is now listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The Visitor's Center is open daily offering tour maps of the cemetery. |
